Flixton Kitchen Internal Alterations

Flixton, Manchester — Kitchen Relocation & Internal Alterations (3-Bed Terrace)

A careful reworking of a busy family home in Flixton: relocating the kitchen into the existing dining room, opening the rear with aluminium bifold doors and a picture window, adding an understairs WC (with drainage alterations signed off by Building Control), and completing first and second fix electrics with a new consumer unit. We also fitted client-supplied internal bifolds and herringbone laminate flooring. All delivered with minimal disruption — washing machine kept connected throughout, furniture moved as needed, and even the bifold glass precision-cut to accept a dog flap.

Objectives

Commissioned by a private homeowner in Flixton, this project set out to create a lighter, better-flowing ground floor by relocating the kitchen, increasing natural light with new rear openings, adding a discreet understairs WC, and tying everything together with neat internal joinery and flooring. The brief also asked us to keep the household running (three young children at home), maintain access to laundry, and sequence works tidily around family life. The finish needed to be robust, low-maintenance and, frankly, calm to live with. Feedback at handover? “Just the best there is! Punctual, friendly, great communication and so happy with the finish.”
